Fundraising

What is the difference between the registration fee and the fundraising target?

The registration fee is used to offset the costs involved in running the event. The money raised via fundraising will support life-changing research into lung disease.

Can we just do team fundraising rather than individual fundraising?

Yes, you can fundraise however you like. You will receive a team fundraising page upon registration – your team can join the page as individuals or you can raise funds as a team.

Race day

What time should I arrive on race day?

By 8.30am so you can register and get ready to start cycling at 9.30am.

Is there parking at the event?

Yes, there is ample free parking.

What should I bring on the day?

  1. Any bicycle that is in good working condition
  2. An Australian approved bike helmet
  3. Sunscreen
  4. Wet weather gear and a change of clothes
  5. Specific food and drink you that will help get you through the day.

What do I wear?

All teams will be provided with a cycle jersey upon registration and you’re welcome to wear that on the day.

Alternatively, you’re welcome to wear your own team branded kit if you wish.

Ensure you are comfortable and safe in your clothing, however, anything goes. From full lycra to a monkey suit – as long as you’re peddling and having fun. Padded cycling pants are highly recommended.

Can family or friends come along to the Corporate Cycle Challenge?

Yes, your colleagues, family and friends are welcome to join you at the venue to cheer you and your team on.

 What support will I receive on the day?

Race director, bike mechanics and massage therapists, first aid, food, water and hydrolyte energy drinks.  Timing chips to measure your distance and accurately count your laps and speed.

What catering is included on the day?

The venue has food stalls and will be selling food and drinks throughout the day. Riders can access this at their convenience. At the end of the event a casual BBQ lunch will be provided

 Wet weather and event cancellation policy?

If wet weather occurs the race director will deem if the event is cancelled. If the event is cancelled refunds will not be available.
